Hey everybody! Patrick Fillion here. I hope you’re all enjoying the Summer.
I thought I’d catch you up on a few details and answer a couple of your questions. I have to admit, while we’ve released some amazing titles in the past couple of months, this Summer isn’t going quite how Fraser and I expected it to go. Looming Postal Strikes and Printer snafus have thrown us some unexpected curveballs.
THE FUTURE OF PRINT COMICS?
No — we have not given up on print comics. You can rest easy. However, we have lost the printer we were using for the past two years, and that has delayed things because it’s meant we needed to find someone new to print our comics. Believe it or not, it’s not always easy to find a printer who is comfortable with adult material, hence why things have taken a little longer to locate a suitable replacement.
The good news is that we believe we’ve found a great new printer now, and we’re happy to report that BEAUTIFUL DEAD #2 is off to press. This is our first time working with this new printer, so we’re not sure how long turnaround time will be. Also, we want to make sure the printed product is up to the quality you are accustomed to from us before we make the copies available.
In short, we appreciate your patience. Our hope is to have BEAUTIFUL DEAD #2 (both the McLogic and Mott cover editions), as well as the BRIGAYDE #1 available in print by the end of this Summer. We’ll keep you posted.
WHERE IS CAMILI-CAT?
This year, I’ve personally devoted a ton of my creative time to the BRIGAYDE. Setting up the series and writing the first three issues has taken a great deal of my time. I’ve also been focused on DEIMOS and working with a number of various artists to launch the new TALES OF THE TARO DEMON series. As you know, issue #1 is already out, and by the end of Summer 2016, TALES OF THE TARO DEMON #2 will also be available.
On top of that, taking BYRON DURAND from SPACE CADET to NAKED JUSTICE has demanded a lot of time and work, and as a lot of you know, I ended up drawing a number of the monthly STRIPSHOW episodes this year in order to get all of that set up.
Long story short, when you throw in all my other Class responsibilities, and the fact that I’m just one guy, I’ve had to make some choices. Certain projects have been put aside for the time being. ZAHN #4 and CAMILI-CAT & LOCUS: LOVE LOST #2 are two of the books I’ve set aside in order to get all of the above going smoothly.
But don’t worry! CAMILI-CAT and ZAHN will both be back. This year’s kept me busy with other projects, but I fully intend to return to these two titles because they are very dear to my heart. Please bear with me… I’ll make it worth your while.

Well, it may be a strange one, but it’s Summer nevertheless, and Fraser and I love Summer. So I thought I’d put together a sexy wallpaper design for you guys. DEIMOS loves the beach, but he needs help — will you rub lotion on his back? HA HA HA!
